Challenges for being a Single Mom
Being a mom is a challenge but it is more challenging if you are a single mom. You got two roles for your kid, a mom and dad. You must work to survive to live while being with your child in their milestones in life. As a single mom, we want what is best for our kids. We want someday they will become successful. While having job in the corporate world, I decide to work as a freelancer. For others it is hard while parenting your kid, working and learning some skills.
I really struggle a lot to learn and to shift from corporate world to becoming a freelancer. Sleepless nights and doing chores in the house was been a challenge for me.
Working as a freelancer is the best option. I started online job hunting but there is so much competition on the market. There are some newbies that have good skills and confidence. I really don’t know how I will get a client. I really don’t want to do and where I can a get support. It is really hard to shift from Corporate World to Freelancer.

Becoming a freelancer
I come across in one of my social media and check Filipino Virtual Assistance. I check their courses and it interests me a lot. Coach Julmar Grace Locsin also advice to better enroll in the Freelancing Course they offer. As a newbie freelancer it is better to be equipped not only for skills but take advice from expert and gain confidence in freelancing. The Filipino Virtual Assistance is a learning platform and inspires freelancers. There are many things I learned in shifting from corporate world to freelancer.
1. Have to do lists – It is better to know what should be done first. By applying the 80/20 rule. You should done things that contribute more on your tasks.
2. Time Management – It is better to be productive. As for me I’m doing the laundry while taking my lessons.
3. Get a client first before resigning from your job – It is better to have a security for your future.
4. Get inspiration to your network – We do have a separate group for my batch mates and when I listen what they shared. It boost my confidence as a freelancer.
5. Do get inspiration to your kids.
6. Pray and asks for His guidance.
We should make our dreams a reality. We should believe, create a habit or routine and put ourselves accountable. There are so many inspiring stories that was shared by successful freelancer and get tips from the experts.
As of now I’m equipped with knowledge and have a confidence. If there are any virtual assistance you need just free to contact me.
